Junior Chamber International Regatta

Induction and Turnover Message

Congressman Jerry P. Treñas

My warmest greetings to the officers and members of the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Regatta of Iloilo City. I am truly honored to be invited to your Chamber’s 4th Induction and Turnover Ceremonies.

The mantra of the JCI-Regatta of “service to humanity is the best work of life” is an inspiration to the people of Iloilo City. Your organization’s numerous charitable and community service programs have touched many lives. As a part of the leading global network of young active citizens, your members have made a huge impact in empowering Iloilo City communities. I am extremely proud of the Iloilo City citizens who are part of the JCI-Regatta, for your members have exemplified strong and admirable values, which are the pillars of a robust and vibrant community.

Iloilo City is very proud of the impressive accomplishments of the JCI-Regatta. Your organization brought honor to our city by winning the Most Outstanding New JCI Local Organization for 2010 award in the JCI Asia Pacific Conference Awarding Ceremony held at the PICC last May, 2011. JCI-Regatta was also awarded the Best Community Development Program for your Pinoy Icon project, which is a search for modern-day Ilonggo heroes.

Through your pioneering efforts in community building, your members have proven that they have the capacity to uplift the lives of their fellow Ilonggos by engaging in laudable projects which have greatly benefited our community.

May the newly inducted officers of your organization continue to initiate community development and empowerment programs in Iloilo City. Thank you very much for your committed service and active participation in community building.
